New Services Available | Read FAQs here
With the swift progression of the COVID-19 pandemic across the globe, we are seeking to ensure the health and wellbeing of both our valued staff and our customers.
We are open, trading and servicing pools & spas as normal, with the following precautions…
To ease any concern or anxiety, we have decided to implement a couple of extra measures to reassure you.
Regular shop & service vehicle cleaning & disinfecting of surfaces
Regular hand sanitising by all staff including service staff
We are trying to process customers through our stores as quickly as possible to minimise potential 'contact' times to below the recommended 15 mins
Ideally, we would prefer card payments or direct debit (no cash where possible)
Our technicians are very aware of and will be complying with social distancing laws. If you are self quarantining please make us aware.
Our technicians will ALWAYS use their own equipment to minimise contact with the items on your property.
They have and regularly use hand sanitiser before and after services.
Responsible behaviour is the best way to reduce the spread of the virus. If you have a fever, cough or flu-like symptoms, your pool can wait. Please stay at home, rest and if required seek medical advice.
We are keeping up to date with all Australian Department of Health recommendations and wish you and those around you good health during this challenging time.
Pool & Spa water, if sanitised correctly has not been found to be affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Contact-Free Services
We are now offering contact-free services for your pool needs. While adhering to the current recommendations, we remain committed to maintaining a healthy & safe pool & spa environment for you and your family. That’s why we have come up with these alternative services.

If you are self-isolating, we can help maintain your pool and spa while ensuring the health of your family with a contact-free test and treatment service for your pool to ensure it stays healthy and clear. One of our pool technicians will come to you with our equipment, test your pool water and balance with your own chemicals or just use the minimum required chemicals to balance to Australian Standards.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT POOL CHEMICALS AND SANITISERS
Liquid pool chlorine is over 200 times stronger than what is required to kill bacteria and germs. DO NOT USE AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSEHOLD & PERSONAL SANITISERS EVEN IN DILUTED FORMS!
Please understand that liquid pool chlorine (sodium hypochlorite) is approx. 10-12% available Chlorine whereas household chlorine bleach is only 2-4% available Chlorine. DO NOT USE pool chlorine for anything else other than pool sanitisation, as it is extremely corrosive and can result in chemical burns on skin, eyes, nose and mouth. Also, it is a much more unstable form of chlorine, the 'fumes' will also irritate the lungs. Even heavily diluted, it will not work in the same way proper hand sanitisers and disinfectant surface sprays will.
NEVER MIX POOL CHLORINE WITH ANY OTHER CHEMICALS
Frequently Asked Questions
ARE YOUR SHOPS STILL OPEN?
Yes, our retail shops are currently open. We are actively monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and following official guidelines and we will continue to act on official health advice. We all have a part to play, and we have put in place measures to help reduce the spread of the virus. We are still offering free water testing in-store, or we can come to you during this time.
WE YOU STILL SERVICE MY POOL/SPA?
To help ensure your pool stays healthy, services, maintenance and repairs will continue as scheduled unless otherwise directed. Our pool technicians are also armed with disinfectants and have been instructed to wipe down vehicle surfaces, tools and equipment. All our pool technicians always use their own equipment, rather than yours, which also helps prevent cross-contamination.
We’re continuing to work on new services and solutions.
IS MY POOL/SPA SAFE TO SWIM IN?
Your pool will be safe as long as it’s correctly balanced and sanitised. There has been no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and spas. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) of pools and spas should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.

DOES CHLORINE KILL VIRUSES IN POOL/SPA WATER?
Yes, BUT... both chlorine and pH levels need to be balanced to ensure your pool is healthy so it can break down germs.
Chlorine kills germs in pools however, it takes time to work and needs to be balanced in conjunction with the pH. Therefore, it’s important to test your pool’s water and make sure chlorine levels are always at the levels recommended by the health department.
As pH goes up, the ability of free chlorine to kill germs decreases. As pH goes down, the ability of free chlorine to kill germs increases but at the expense of your pool equipment, which is more likely to corrode, requiring expensive repairs. You need to keep your pool’s pH within an optimal range that best balances killing germs, the lifespan of the pool equipment and swimmers’ comfort.

WHAT CHEMICAL LEVELS DOES MY POOL NEED SO VIRUSES CAN'T SPREAD?
For most waterborne illnesses, a free chlorine concentration for pools should stay between 1 and 3 ppm (parts per million) and the pH between 7.2 and 7.8. It’s important to note that the levels you need will vary depending on the type of pool you have or chlorination chemical used. For example, spas usually need a higher free chlorine concentration.
